Terms of Use

Effective October 27, 2026

These terms govern your use of lib13.com (the "Site"), operated by Lib13 Inc., 113A 13th Ave E, Seattle, WA 98102 ("Lib13", "we", "us"). By using the Site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

The Site is informational

The Site describes our services. It is not an offer to provide services on any particular terms, and nothing on it creates a client relationship, professional engagement, or any guarantee of results. Services are provided only under a separate written agreement signed by Lib13 and the client, and that agreement controls if it conflicts with anything here or on the Site.

Descriptions of our SOC 2 work refer to helping organizations prepare for an examination by an independent CPA firm. Lib13 is not a CPA firm, does not issue SOC 2 reports, and does not guarantee any audit outcome or compliance status.

Security testing requires written authorization

We perform penetration testing and similar security work only against systems that the client owns or is authorized to test, and only after both parties agree to scope and rules of engagement in writing. You may not use the Site, or anything you learn from it, to access or test systems without authorization.

Acceptable use

When using the Site, you agree not to:

If you believe you have found a security issue with the Site, please tell us through the contact section on lib13.com. We ask that you act in good faith, avoid accessing or changing data that is not yours, and give us reasonable time to respond before disclosing it publicly.

Intellectual property

The Site and its content, including text, graphics, logos, and design, are owned by Lib13 or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Client names and logos are the property of their owners and appear with permission. You may view and share links to the Site for personal or internal business purposes, but you may not copy, modify, or distribute its content for other purposes without our written permission.

Information you send us

Information you submit through the Site is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, anything you send us through the Site is not treated as confidential, so please do not include confidential or sensitive information. You grant us permission to use what you submit to respond to you and to evaluate possible work together.

Third-party links and content

The Site may link to or load content from third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, practices, or availability.

Disclaimers

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Content on the Site is general information, not legal, compliance, audit, or security advice for your situation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lib13 and its officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Liability for services is governed solely by the applicable written services agreement.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Lib13 harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these terms or your misuse of the Site.

Changes and termination

We may change the Site or these terms at any time. The effective date above shows when they last changed, and continued use of the Site means you accept the revised terms. We may suspend or restrict access to the Site at any time.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to these terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Lib13 about the Site.
